Dianne Robinson's - Pretty Flowers

Pretty Flowers. Each winter heavy rains immerse the landscape of the APY Lands, sometimes causing flooding and creating water catchments and tjukula (rockholes). After these rains, small and vibrantly colourful flowers carpet the vast regions of red desert country, transforming the dry landscape into a decorative and vibrant palette of mauves, greens, blues and yellows. The word putipulawa is derived from the English words pretty flowers.
